I'm in such a good mood this evening. No particular reason. I think I'm feeling good because I'm not feeling bad. So it's kinda cyclical. I was almost bouncing off the walls by the time I got the Rockface. Ian's a great person to climb with because he can give me good tips on technique to work on. I made it up two 15 walls that half way up, I was like "no chalk, no handholds! eep!!" but Ian was like "do this and that, try that" so I tried it and it ended up working, even with my sweaty hands! I did a couple of new moves too, I was very pleased with my progress. I was like, super ninja climbing woman!!

Also, I got there and wasn't "oh, Josh isn't here *tears*" So I was pleased about that too!

Now my stomach muscles hurts, and my arms. I need to have a shower because I'm all sweaty (attractive!) and wash my hair in prep for tomorrow.

Little Creatures. 6pm till late. You live in Perth, you consider yourself my friend, you should come. *nods enthusiastically* But, you know, if you can't, that's cool too. Come late and leave early, I don't mind!

t'was my birthday yesterday. It was a pretty average day, but that's ok. :)

I woke up at 9, church at 10, home by 12. Hung out a bit, then the power went off so I didn't have the material to prepare for kid's church as it was on the computer. But I knew it was Romans 6, so I managed to throw something together. I had a nap until 4. Heather's phone was meant to wake her up at 3, but she sent it for 3am accidentally. But my grandparents called at 4, which woke me up. Went to kid's church, Ian said I did a good job, so that made me pleased that I'd been successful. :) Then I went to the Captain Stirling for steak and beer. People came by to say happy birthday and share some beer/chips with me. It was a good evening. ^.^

Also, I received a couple of surprise presents. Intan and Matt came and gave me a shawl and a book on winning scrabble. It was very thoughtful of them. I'd been thinking just a week ago that I would like a shawl, so it was quite providential! :D And my friend Nifty gave me a potted plant which already has flowers, so I might be able to keep it alive. There are also little flowers poking up from the soil already. So I'm looking forward to them becoming big flowers.

So now I have a feeling I'm meant to be at uni... but I checked the online unit and it says that I'm meant to be there Tuesday and Thursday. Which gives me today off. Is weird not having something to do. Odd

So my lovely parents generously bought me the leather jacket I'd been wanting, even though I gave them the escape clause by whole heartedly expressing my love for Mum's white chocolate chip biscuits. It arrived in the mail today, along with some other little tidbits from Sportsgirl.
there's a picture under the cut )
If I look pale, it's because I'm still sick. I managed to get myself dressed just so I could take some pics and email them to parents. :D

I went for a walk this evening to mail some letters and the jacket kept me nice and warm. I've been laying off the talking today and probably need to gargle with some salt water, because my throat is rather croaky and hurty. The walk wouldn't've helped, but I needed to get out of the house. I'm surprised I've stayed awake all day actually. I think I will sleep well tonight!

I ended up watching Criminal Minds last night, which really effected my dreams. I remember being with all my little yr 1s and all of us trying to solve a murder case. Amusing.

I had my heater waaaay up last night. So much so, that I was able to kick off my blankets and still be warm. It was really nice though, to be so warm. Fevers are the bodies reaction to bugs: The body raises it's temperature so that the bugs will die from the heat. So I'm hoping that all the heat last night has contributed. I've had my morning cold and flu tablets and a piece of bread for breakfast and I'm feeling much better. Still a little head-achy, but I no longer want to die! hurrah! Nor do I feel nauseous. w00tzor!

Anyway, it's a quiet day in today. I want to fully recover and then be ok for the weekend as Sunday is my birthday. Also, Dad bought my the leather jacket for my birthday! Yay for my parents!

I would be very super excited, cept for the lack of energy. But I do hope it arrives today or tomorrow! I'm very thankful for such generous parents. ^.^

Murder Mystery night was fun. I channelled my old high school self and won the drama queen award *cheesy grin*

I ended up not buying the leather jacket, though I was sorely tempted many times. Instead, I mentioned it to Dad and sent him an email letting him know that it would make a great birthday present and where to buy it/how much it would cost/my sizing. So maybe if they're feel particularly generous, that might happen. But it might not. Either way, I ought to learn to be happy with what I have. :)

Instead, I went grocery shopping and now feel quite relaxed as I won't have to worry about food for the next week and a bit. :D :D \(^.^)/

Last exam was today. Now I think I will go shopping for a winter coat (because they're on sale) and have a nice night in with no stress.

My birthday's coming up soon. Would anyone like to join me at the Captain Stirling for some dinner and beer at 7pm-ish, Sunday the 15th? I'll be there, feel free to rock up and knock back a couple with me. The pub closes at 10pm, but I have my prac the next day anyway, so an early night is alright with me ^.^ But a lonely night is a very sad thing indeed.

Yesterday was Saturday. I went to Mars to RPG Deadlands at 12ish, but we didn't have enough people to actually play until 4ish. So we only played for 2hrs or so. But it was fun. I did some cleaning in the kitchenette while we waited.

I think sometimes I get too passionate about Christianity and thus am too easy to bait. One of the guys from the RPG asked me a question and I went to answer it, but he disagreed with me. I think he was just being argumentative, but I was getting passionate and it was very quickly turning into an argument instead of a discussion, so I left the room to pray and calm down. Mike came out and apologised on his behalf, which was very nice of him. But I wish the whole situation had gone better, and I had been more level headed about it.

Afterwards, I went to an engagement dinner for a couple I know. Ryan and Rachel. I hope they have a very happy life together. They are both very nice people. But my age, which is a little scary. :P :D I brought a bottle of very nice wine. 2003 merlot from Brookland estate. Yum! I had two glasses of that over dinner.

After the engagement dinner, I went to 'The Moon and Sixpence' which is an english pub in the city. Went there with Matt, Intan, Carrick, Mike (a different one from my RPG), Ian, Malcolm and Ryan. I had a pint of beer and a gin and tonic. So I ended the evening rather well I thought. Spaced my drinks well. :D But we ended up going back to Intan's and staying the night there, as I thought I might be over the limit anyway, and didn't really want to risk it. But that was nice! And this morning I had vegemite on toast and an orange, so I'm feeling rather healthy and happy. :D

Oh, and I got presents from the gang. I received a slow cooker!! and an ice-cream maker!! And two dvds(Astrix and Obelix and Phantom of the Opera!). Oh, and a can of lynx (because some people know I love the smell. lol). So I'm very excited about these gifts and can't wait to use them. I think I'll have to cook something for them all before they go away... or when they come back. Either way. :D

Yesterday I turned 21.
I woke up about 10ish, chatted to Mum and we decided to go to the Women's Expo. So we had showers and stuff. Then we headed off. We both had so much fun! I think I would have been bored if it were just me. But Mum and I had some good bonding time together. We got lots of free taste-tests and entered a bunch of competitions. We both had LOADS of fun, and I'm so thankful for the time I got to spend with her!

Then we got home and had a bit of a rush to get ready for dinner. Dad took us out (with Grandma and Grandpa too) to Cicerellos in Fremantle. He didn't actually tell us where we were going, and I think everyone was expecting somewhere a little fancier, including Dad. But I was determined to enjoy myself, and not ruin my birthday by being a bad sport about it. Dad and Grandpa bought some wine. But it was a bit sweet, so I mixed it with some of Grandma's Lemonade and sculled it while everyone was ordering (I'd already looked at the menu). I had garlic prawns and they were nice enough. I enjoyed them better at Tiamo's. But oh well, they were still good. Then I had some ice-cream and we all headed home again.

Went to bed at 11ish. All in all, it was a good day. :D

Grandma and Grandpa bought me this beautiful necklace and earrings set! Very simple and plain, but really beautiful. The chain that the pendant is on is VERY fine. I've never seen a chain so fine. I'm rather scared I'll break it.

And Uncle John and (almost) Aunty Jenny gave me a check and a '21' photo album. So I plan on lots of photos from my party to put in it. And Baba (step-grandma on Mum's side) also gave me a check. I called them all yesterday to thank them.
