Tonight I went rock climbing and made it up two of my project walls! Hurrah! I tried to go up another wall though I made it up two weeks ago though and failed, can't remember how I got up it the first time :( But it was loads of fun. Definitely going again on Thursday. It feels good to have gotten up those project walls. I also got further up a third project wall and I was very pleased to get past a hard part - now there's just the last hard part to work on!

Afterwards I went to a swing dancing class with a bunch of CU friends. Turns out it was actually the lindy hop. I bumped into my mate Ronnie who was also at Ceroc on Thursday and boy does he know how to dance! I didn't know most of the moves, but he's very good at leading and we successfully pulled off most moves and it was excellent fun dancing with a bloke who knows how to dance well!!

Uni started today and that went well enough. I do need to get on top of my readings already though and I have an assignment due Monday that needs work. I'll go to bed now though and get up early for a jog, then get working on it on the morning because I'm out in the evening!

What a nice day it's been!

Lots has been going on: I shall give it to you in dot point form!
  • I started another Trinity at night course on Tuesday on the Biblical overview. The first week was good!
  • I went to ceroc on Thursday after this massive break with my mate Dean and had a blast!
  • I went rock climbing on Friday night with Ricky, Jason and Josh and it went quite well
  • In fact, I then went on a walk with Josh while we waited for our burgers to cook, then sat and ate them together and it was quite pleasant! Hurrah!
  • I went to Alys' "room warming" and watched this film called The Room and it was HILARIOUSLY TERRIBLE! Watch it with friends in order to laugh outrageously at every line that is delivered because none of the actors can actually act. "You are tearing me apart, Lisa!"
  • Yesterday was the Inter CU ball and I had such a terrific time!
  • First I went to Rhianon and Shanelle's to get ready and that was great fun to do girly things with a bunch of other girls. Then we went to grab dinner with a bunch of other people, then we proceeded to the ball and there was much mingling with friends and dancing to good music! It was excellent!

I shall leave you with another photo of me at the ball. Of maybe a few photos, because there are a couple of excellent dancing-action shots :D

I think I finally get art. \(^.^)/ Some units are helpful to real life after all!

Uni is feeling a bit swampy. I've only 3 units, but I want to do really well in them, so I think I'm putting more pressure on myself than need be. It's only just starting week 3 after all.

Things have been plodding along in a very non-eventful fashion recently. Which is good, because it means less stress, but bad because it makes my life awfully boring. I've seen all these notices up around uni to join this or that thing and I want to join in them and have fun doing whatever, but I just don't have the time what with the uni stress I find myself under. There's this game of assassin happening on campus this week, and this youth women's choral and possibly a few other things that aren't just going to happen, that I would like to happen.

Monday evenings I have Equip, which is a training and ministry thing for MCU, Tuesday look to be my church's Bible study night, Wednesday is Kendo night, Thursday is dancing night, Friday and Saturday are party/group activity night, Sunday night I want to spend at home after kid's church chilling. Wednesday and Saturdays I'm available to work, though Myer doesn't like rostering me on, :P. I picked up an all day Saturday shift yesterday though, which was good. I'm glad that there's stuff to keep me busy, but it all looks a bit overwhelming.

I guess I should take some of my own advice and take one day at a time. Don't worry about tomorrow, but focus on what I can do today and then actually do it!

On that note, I ought to do my Japanese homework, wash my face and head off to bed. Thanks for listening to my somewhat self-pressured venting. :)

So today as I went to check my hotmail account, there was a small news headline proclaiming that Ethan Hawke has impregnated his children's nanny. I must admit that I find that phrasing very amusing. It conjures up mental images of Ethan Hawke sneaking around his home in the middle of the night, tip-toeing into the Nanny's room and then injecting her with a syringe filled with his sperm. Then sneaking away again. Very stealthy-like! teehee

Last night I moved up to Intermediates at Ceroc. I learnt 3 hard moves that really weren't terribly hard for the girl *grin*. It was lots of fun!

I have NO shifts at Myer next week. I'm thinking that I'm going to have to call up each morning and ask if they can give me anything in case anyone calls up sick. Or perhaps finding another job... ah! money issues NO! *runs away from money issues* stupid money. I really hope that I don't end up with no money like I did end of '06, thus causing me to move back with parents. Because moving back in with parents really isn't an option.

Father, please provide for me. Thank you for doing so now, and please continue to do so. Amen.

Hello everyone. I know has internets! w00t!
Last night I invited [info]greygnome to come over for dinner and asked him to give us a wireless LAN in our house. I went and bought a router for the house at a very good price from Office Works. So Gene came, had kangaroo roasts with myself and Heather, made wireless work. Then we went to ceroc and I had a blast being leg into all these jumps and lifts and oh-so-many-twirls! I had an absolute blast. This one guy who asked me to dance, I thought he was a beginner, but then he turned out not to be and whoo-hoo! I had so much fun! Now my feet hurt and I have to work today. :P I'm sure no one will mind if I wear my old-but-more-comfortable shoes to work... :D

Atticus I think is coming to terms with dog-in-house by still calling this house home and not running away. But I think time will tell as to whether he continues to think that. My work/study area is mostly set up now, which is good and comforting for little me.

I'm rather excited about getting stuck into uni, but also a bit apprehensive regarding keeping up with the work load. I hope I can do it alright.

Today I was not sick! Hurrah! I woke up lots of hours of sleep and slowly ate a bowl of grapes. Then realising how bad my teeth were at, I had a shower and brushed dem teeth! I didn't brush at all yesterday because all smells and tastes, and even the thought of smelling food/deodorant/anything that smells, or tasting food made me feel nauseous. Anyway, teeth were brushed and that was a big deal!

Today family I caught the train down to Mandurah for a daytrip. There were a few hiccups, but I was determined to make the best of it! I had battered fish without the batter, a few chips and most of an ice cream. We wandered around a bit, Mum's hat flew into the canal and we had to fish it out with a broom, we caught the train back and played word games. Yes, I am feeling a little delicate, but oh so much better nonetheless.

I intend to go dancing tonight. But only for half the time. I don't think I'm up for the full 3 hours of dancing. I intended on playing soccer and going rock climbing with Britt, but my illness prevented me, which was sad! I was so looking forward to it! But tonight I shall make up for it.

Also, the plan is to FINALLY move in tomorrow and Saturday morning! Hurrah! (hopefully)

There was an issue: it is now resolved and I am at peace. :)

In other news, Jacinta's party last night was super fun! I pulled Boyd into dancing some ceroc with me. I'm not so good and misjudged a bunch of moves he was trying to lead me into, but man was it fun! Him and Jacinta danced a couple of times, and everyone would stop their dancing and watch. Super cool! :D

Alrighty, on Saturday, Cint is having her 21st and my gift to her was a book that I made with photos and pretty paper and ribbon that can be unbound and the pages separated so that people can sign it. I finished it on Wednesday night, so yesterday I went and dropped it round to her place. I'd covered the front and back with red satin and a black frilly lace over the top. She really liked it! Anyway, she hadn't yet bought her dress/shoes/jewelery for her 21st and she was planning on going out to buy them later that afternoon. She had set aside an hour and a half for that task! But off we went in her car and bought her entire outfit!! It was pretty fun "speed shopping."

Anyway, we went back to her place and I had a couple of glasses of water before going home and she invited me to go to ceroc dancing. So I went that night! SO MUCH FUN!!! And really easy to pick up. When you are partnered with a good male lead, you can do all these spins and twirls and there's plenty of guys there willing to dance and to lead, even though I wasn't so good. Very informal and social! My feet were killing me afterwards. I limped through the front door and sat through my shower. :D

This morning I went into uni and didn't do so badly with Japanese like I feared because I've missed a few classes recently. Then I met with Clare, and had my last hour of prac and went home. Bummed around a bit this afternoon, but then I decided to go for a jog (which I did) and when I came home, I'd only been jogging for 10minutes!! So I put on a pilates dvd and did some of that. w00t!

I feel really good right now. I think it's the endorphines.

Also, for the longest time I've put off doing dancing or anything because I didn't have a partner and my main motivation to go was because of the potential partnering or whatever, but last night, I went for the sole reason of having fun and doing something to get my life into gear.

It's very much related to the "when I'm in a couple, then my life will start" mentality. I've shaken it off my conscience, but not so much my subconscience. I've held myself back for too long. But last night was a blast, and it was a fun thing I was doing for me, not for a partner. I'm probably rambling, but maybe some of you can understand and go "WOO HOO KAT!" for me. :D

Anyway, I've been having loads of fun being active. And I think it helps me to focus more when I'm studying, because it gets all my heeby-geebies out before hand.

Speaking of study, wish me luck, I have 3 essays to write, due on the 5th, 6th and 7th.
