Inara and Mal

Tee hee
My church has a blog. I've made a syndicate feed on to eljay. Go me and my paid account that can do that! Rory has been the guy named to take over from where Matt Malcolm left off. So he's going to be the new unichurch minister. And he wants to change a bunch of stuff around. So on the blog, he's written out a complete draft of an order of service. Is... not-amusing-nor-annoying-just... something. It looks to be overly thought out, but when I think about it, isn't that much. I mean, they have put a great deal of thought into it, gah, I dunno. I guess I'm uncomfortable with change. But it could be good. I'm a little... *angst* around Christians these days.

I suppose, I'm trying to be a good Christian and I know I'm crap at it. I like being a geek, and becoming more geeky and I'm feeling quite at home in my little internet-stoffice niche. So I went to a bbg last night with a bunch of Christian friends. (because some people like to reneg on cookie-making-days, which is highly inconsiderate and very very inconvenient to me *mutter* *grumble*) I spent half the time trying to be included and have good conversation, and the other half feeling all sucky, because I don't feel like I fit in. There are some people I feel good around. Lise, Ian and Malcolm of course, but everyone else makes me feel a little uncomfortable. I guess I've been doing my own thing for the past couple of months, and now... bleh.

It can't be good when a Christian feels uncomfortable around other Christians.

Anyway, Lise and I need to do the last of our Christmas shopping today, and I'm goin to be late. So cheerios

Chai Tea

My recipe for chai tea for javelinface

tea leaves. Um, just use some plain tea, don't get fancy 'earl grey' or 'english breakfast', just plain tea leaves will do.

Put them in a pot/pan with a bunch of heated milk.

Add spices.

Spices to add include; cardemon, nutmeg, cinnamon, sugar (add a fair amount of sugar, but not too much, otherwise you might as well forget adding the spicing and just have heated sugar milk). Add a little pepper, it actually works quite nicely. I can't remember what else. I'll edit this post if I think of anything else. Nellie suggests ginger too. I guess you just add what you like. Aniseed if you like it (I don't).

So yeah, I just make it up as I go along.
